After a 23~year career as a U.S. Army Infantryman and Reconnaissance Specialist, retiring honorably as a First Sergeant (2000~2023), while spanning four operational deployments in support of the Global War on Terror, and culminating as the Senior Enlisted Advisor for a 13-nation peacekeeping force, I survived injuries that left me with a slower pace and a profound drive to create rather than destroy.
Today, I am a vagabond student with a B.S. in Business Administration/Management (Post University, class of 2016), seeking out presence, stories, and facilitating boutique philanthropy along three Lines of Effort:
~1. The Servicemember & Veteran Community,
~2. The preservation of our natural spaces (especially the Appalachian National Scenic Trail),
~3. Independent Artists from all walks of this life we share, together.
Before all the art and accolades, I am a happy dad. My daughter is the ultimate priority. Feel privileged should I ever share her with you, dear readers...
I am an observationalist by nature, looking to connect with lifelong learners and egalitarian minds who appreciate resonant and ephemeral conversations.
A sanctuary of mine is at Petco Park, in America's Finest City, watching the Padres.
My tastes are eclectic, from late-night döner kebabs in Germany, burritos in Cali, Texas BBQ, the harmony of the cello, pop and perhaps obsure musicians, and the works of Charlotte Eriksson, Lynch, Hemingway, Bukowski, Plath, Paul Simon, the Dystopians, and especially the Beatniks.
I am upset with the state of our country with hope remaining on the precipice, still...
I will not censor my work and I will challenge you wholeheartedly.
My life is being planned but nowhere near complete.
2027 begins my journey to trek from 'Bama to Baxter' after having failed to complete my attempt at the AT in 2025 (Trail Name: "DuckTales").
Everything is a Rehearsal, new friends.
